Reunion Dinner

Join us for the main event!

The SAM Fox Association Reunion Dinner, hosted by the SAM Fox Association’s President, Lt Col Geoff Anderson and presided over by the Sam Fox Association’s Chairman, (Ret) Maj Gen Scott Gray.

The key note speaker for the evening will be the Commander, Air Mobility Command, Gen. Mike Minihan.

The dinner will be held at the The Club at Andrews (1889 Arnold Ave), from 1800-2100 and the attire will be business casual for active duty members, retired alumni and civilian partners.

Buffet style food will be provided and included with the price if your ticket. A cash bar will also serve alcoholic beverages, but will not be included in the price of the ticket.

Active Duty members are encouraged to attend this event, and it is a great opportunity to mingle with the great men and women who represent so many eras of SAM Fox heritage.

SAMFest ‘22

“Salute to SAM Fox Partners” - SAMFest ‘22.

This year’s SAMFest will be hosted by Lt Col Anthony Cannone and the 99th Airlift Squadron.

Join the active duty members and families of the PAG, and 89 AW at Hangar 3 at 12:30 (see FAQ for location details). Beer, Wine, German-themed food, and fun and games will be provided for the whole family along with the opportunity to get to know some of our civilian industry partners, and the ability to purchase swag from multiple booster clubs representing the base Squadrons. The cost of entrance and all food and beverage is included in your overall ticket price. Active duty and civilian guests are welcome to wear UOD or civilian “Oktoberfest” type attire! Best dressed can expect a prize.

SAM Fox Day

Join us at the Andrews Base Theater for SAM Fox Day (1674 D St, Joint Base Andrews, MD 20762).

Late check-in, refreshments and coffee will be available at 08:00 and the event will begin at 0900 and last until 12:00. There will be a refreshment recess during the panels. Attire will be UOD for active duty and civilian business casual.

The 89th Airlift Wing Commander, Colonel Mathew Jones will be leading a discussion on the state of SAM Fox airlift, and we will have an array of panel members who will discuss impactful moments past, present and future.

After Col. Jones’ opening remarks, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Glenn Spears and Lt. Col. (Ret.) Ev DeWolfe will lead a discussion about September 11th as they recount their experiences on that fateful day.

Following the 9/11 presentation, join us for the Women in Aviation Panel, hosted by Brig. Gen. Sonkiss, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Kathy La Sauce, SMSgt (Ret.) Wanda Joell, Maj Kaley Jenkins and TSgt Mariana Segovia.

Please fill out the form below if you have a question for the panel members pertaining to SAM Fox airlift, and we will attempt to address as many as possible. Consider DV Airlift and the SAM Fox tradition in the past, present and looking towards the future as you frame your Panel Questions.

After SAM Fox Day, head over to Hangar 3 and join us for SAMFest ‘22 “A Salute to SAM Fox Civilian Partners” and an Oktoberfest style celebration and food for active duty, civilian partners and SAM Fox Alumni.

Welcome Day

Sign in will be held at The Club at Andrews (1889 Arnold Ave) Sign in, collect your swag bag and share a beverage of choice with old and new friends. Tea, coffee and light snacks will be provided free of charge.

Welcome Day POC is Major Ben Oakland (1 AS), please reach out to him at 240-917-4321 if you have any issues during your arrival or at the base gate. If you can’t make it to Welcome Day, there will be a chance for late check in during SAM Fox Day the following morning, and at the Reunion Dinner on the final night. Contact Maj Oakland for any unique requests.

Please ensure that if you do not have access to the base (retired ID, CAC, etc.) that you fill out the appropriate form on the RSVP page so we can add you to the base access list!
